Abstract: Confined Space Awareness Entry Workshop Each attendee will receive a Confined Space Awareness Certificate! The workshop will provide: ● Information on a practical real world approach to confined space entry ● A brief introduction that highlights causes of mishaps, and risks associated with working in confined spaces ● Mandatory training requirements, regulations pertaining to "confined spaces", and employer responsibilities ● Introduction to evaluation and classification of confined spaces ● Explanation of permits and forms, explanation of "pre-entry" procedures ● Identification and description of required equipment ● 30-minute Break-out sessions covering: Retrieval Systems SCBA's Ventilation Lighting Gas Detection ●A local city will showcase its confined space truck All attendees will have the unique opportunity to observe demonstrations as well as use state of the art confined space equipment and speak directly with many of the leading equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
