CRANES AND DERRICKS IN CONSTRUCTION – DISASSEMBLY, PINS ON BOOM SECTIONS
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 1611.3(b) (2013) – An employee removed the bottom pins joining the “butt” and “hammerhead” sections of a crane, while the pendants were still under tension; and the bridle had not been attached to the butt section, resulting in a serious injury.
