Green Light for Heat Stress Lawsuit

SAN FRANCISCO - The family of a trench digger who died of heat stress will be able to pursue its lawsuit against the landowner, a San Francisco appellate panel ruled on July 17. Gregorio Rubio, 29, fell ill one day in August 1994 after spending the morning working in 100-plus degree heat. At his employer's direction, he lay down in a nearby truck.
