Fall Protection: Arresting Developments

NEWARK -- Construction representatives agreed with Cal/OSHA at a March 17 public hearing that a fall protection regulation covering workers in this industry needs to be changed to accommodate on-site conditions. The proposal would revise Construction Safety Orders 1670 to allow a free-fall distance of up to six feet for fall arrest systems.
