Model IIP Programs Now Available to Employers

SAN FRANCISCO - Among other policy revisions Cal-OSHA has made pursuant to 1993 legislation, two model IIPPs have been developed to help employers comply with General Industry 3203. Since passage of SB 198 in 1989, every employer in the state has been required to have an effective written injury and illness prevention program (IIPP). The mandate is found in GISO 3203.Because of the Labor Code reforms, employers in low hazard or non-high hazard industries, or with only seasonal or intermittent employees
