Appeals Board Continues Search For “Creative” Ways To Deal With Backlog

If you have an appeal before the Cal/OSHA Appeals Board and you fail to appear at a prehearing, your case could be dismissed. This is one of the options the board is mulling to get control of its still-sizable backlog of cases. Board chair Candice Traeger also told the Cal/OSHA Advisory Committee that case hearings are going to switch to a new scheduling system this fall.
