Governor Pete Wilson signed AB 969 (Cardenas) on June 4 and it is now enrolled as Ch. 59 of the Statutes of 1998. It permits the Board of Registered Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (BORPE) to deregulate the titles of quality, safety and corrosion engineers.
