BERKELEY - New asphalt paving equipment manufactured after July 1, 1997, will have ventilation systems to reduce asphalt fumes by 80% under an agreement endorsed by OSHA on January 9.Asphalt fumes were among the concerns listed during OSHA's priority planning process in 1995, as a priority for nonregulatory action.
