According to Executive Officer Janet Eagan, the Cal-OSH Appeals Board received 404 appeals in April and 442 in May for a calendar total of 1,859. The five-month total for the same period in 1997 was 1,576.In April and May the board received five petitions for reconsideration, issued four decisions after reconsideration and denied one petition for reconsideration.
