LOS ANGELES - Deputy Chief Mark Carleson was sent south soon after the Northridge earthquake disrupted lives, jobs and roads in the San Fernando Valley and environs. Recently, Carleson briefed the Cal-OSHA Advisory Committee on the agency's response."We called every employer with a tower crane and told them to reinspect before re-use.
