California Safety Response “Still a Work in Progress”

While Cal/OSHA teams were getting real-world catastrophe recovery experience in New Orleans last fall, more than a dozen staff members participated in a response exercise in Northern California. According to DOSH Supervising Industrial Hygienist Steve Smith, Cal/OSHA's liaison to the state's disaster-response apparatus, the relationship needs work. "It's still pretty much a work in progress," he said.
