LOS ANGELES - The Division of Labor Statistics and Research has a number of tables that break down disabling events in the private and public sectors in 1992. There were 298,071 lost workday cases in private industry that year.Leading occupations at risk, according to Table 3, were truck drivers and non-construction laborers.
