Cco Certification “a Good First Step”

In the construction industry, there seem to be as many opinions about how crane operators should be trained and certified as there are cranes themselves. And while the Operating Engineers union, which controls much of the labor force running these huge and complicated machines, offers its members training and testing, many safety managers say those efforts simply aren't enough. Certification and training standards are necessary, they assert.
