CDC Reorganization Plan Prompts Criticism over NIOSH’s New Status

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is touting its Futures Initiative as a way to be more effective by better coordinating its centers, institutes and offices. But critics from inside and outside the agency are calling the plan bad - and unneeded - medicine. The Futures Initiative has been in development for about a year. In May, CDC announced the organizational design. It would integrate related acti
