Crane Collapse Ordeal at San Francisco Airport

On September 15, Dan Chipparone, a 24-year-old apprentice iron worker who was helping guide a 12-ton crane, was pinned under its 150-foot boom when the mast dropped. His right leg was severed below the knee and he lost part of his left foot.
