California's Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) will mark its 75th anniversary on June 27 with a daylong conference in San Francisco.The department was created in 1927 by combining agencies that were the precursors to Cal/OSHA, the divisions of labor statistics and labor standards enforcement, and workers' compensation with the Industrial Welfare Commission and the Industrial Accident Board.Two separate conferences are planned for the celebration, including one from 9:30 a.m.
