One of the defining characteristics of the Bush-era Fed-OSHA is its emphasis on partnerships and strategic alliances with industry and occupational safety and health-related groups. The idea is to share safety and health information with employers and provide "compliance assistance" to prevent violations and ultimately citations, instead of coming down with a heavy hand.
