Stating that the rescinded federal ergonomics standard does not provide a "sound model" for improving California's standard, both the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and the Cal/OSH Standards Board staff have recommended that the board deny a petition to adopt the now-defunct Fed-OSHA regulation here.The board was scheduled to vote on the petition July 19 at its meeting in San Diego. The petition was submitted by the California Labor Federation (CLF) in February.
