Revisions to Fed-OSHA's bloodborne pathogens standard have been cleared by the Bush administration and took effect April 18. All regulations published in the last days of the Clinton administration have been under review since George Bush took office.The federal bloodborne pathogens revisions were mandated by the Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act passed by Congress last year and signed by President Clinton.
