Fed-OSHA Announces New Initiatives

SAN DIEGO - Fed-OSHA has recently announced a series of steps it is taking to reinvent itself. They include giant whacks at verbiage, more negotiated rulemaking, a new complaint policy, and testing new penalty and program evaluation systems.On June 20, Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA Joseph Dear said the agency had identified five rulemaking projects that together would eliminate at least 1,049 pages from the approximately 3,000 pages in OSHA sections of the Code of Federal Regulations.Mo
