Last Bit of OSHA’s Scaffold Standard Now in Place

SACRAMENTO - A "paperwork" portion of Fed-OSHA's scaffold standard, 1926.453(a)(2), has just been cleared by the Office of Management and Budget. The rest of the standard for scaffolds used in construction (aerial lifts) has been effective since November 29, 1996. The remaining bit, which is now enforceable by the Feds, concerns manufacturer certification of "field modified" aerial lifts.What impact does this have on Cal-OSHA? None, Mel Davis told COR.
