OAKLAND -- AB 643, which would reform the Cal/OSH Standards Board appointments process, passed its first committee hurdle in the state Senate June 11 when the Labor and Industrial Relations (L&IR) committee approved it, 5-3.The bill has been referred to the Senate's Appropriations committee.AB 1719, a follow-up bill to AB 2837, has been referred to the Senate L&IR committee and was scheduled for a June 25 hearing, but that hearing has been cancelled.AB 572, which would strengthen protection
