Legislative Update – Elevator Unit Bill Goes to Assembly

SACRAMENTO -- SB 1886, a bill that would expand the number of conveyances under the jurisdiction of the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Elevator Unit, was approved by the state Senate June 10, 22-15. It has been assigned to the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment and scheduled for a hearing on June 26.The committee approved another Senate bill, 1591, on June 13 and referred it to the Assembly Appropriations committee.
