Losh Gets $825,000 Grant to Help Reduce Lead Poisoning in Small Businesses

UCLA's Labor Occupational Safety and Health Program (LOSH) has been awarded a three-year, $825,000 grant from the California Department of Health Services to expand a program to reduce lead poisoning among workers in small businesses.LOSH has been assisting with lead poisoning prevention in the scrap metal recycling industry through its Southern California Workplace Lead Project. The grant will allow the program to include employers and workers at firing ranges, metal casting and found
