No Citations in Redding Electrocution

After an investigation, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health has decided not to issue citations in a Jan. 18 electrocution of a technician for SBC in Redding.The worker was repairing a residential phone line on a pole when a 12,000 volt power line struck and killed him. The high voltage line had broken loose from its insulator."No citations were issued as it would be impossible to determine how the line was loose or to have observed the damage to the line from the ground,"
