OSHA to Develop Grocery, Poultry Industry Ergonomics Guidelines

Fed-OSHA has announced that it will develop draft voluntary ergonomic guidelines for grocery stores and poultry processing plants. OSHA Administrator John Henshaw announced the move at the recent annual conference of the Americn Society of Safety Engineers in Nashville, Tenn. In April the agency said it would develop a set of guidelines for the nursing home industry.
