SACRAMENTO -- Two Title 8 variance requests that the Cal/OSH Standards Board was poised to deny instead have been dropped by the applicants.One sought approval for a variance from General Industry Safety Orders 3441(b) to modify a self-propelled harvester to allow the operator to leave the driving station and load boxes.The other withdrawn request was by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, regarding work activities conducted in proximity to overhead lines that power the city's MUNI sys
