Standards Board Adopts Hazardous Energy, Two Other Proposals

SAN DIEGO -- After 10 months and two incarnations from when it held a public hearing on the proposal, the Cal/OSH Standards Board adopted changes to the General Industry Safety Orders (GISO) on the control of hazardous energy in machines at its Oct. 21 meeting here. The board also adopted updates to two other safety orders, held a public hearing on two new proposals and voted on two petitions.The hazardous energy proposal,
