Standards Board Adopts New Federal Steel Erection Regulations

OAKLAND -- The rebuild of California's steel erection standards - based on a federal blueprint - is mostly complete. All that's needed is a few final connections, which could come later this year.The Cal/OSH Standards Board at its March 21 meeting adopted the bulk of Fed-OSHA's recent revisions. In other actions, the board adopted revisions to the Electrical Safety Orders resulting from a Complaint Against State Plan Administration and took public comments on two new proposals.
