Three Aproved, Reluctantly

The OSH Standards Board approved three petitions March 16, authorizing advisory committees to study the proposals. The board, however, had misgivings about the petitions.The first was submitted by Thomas E. Mitchell, president of Custom Spooling Specialists. He wants to see new regulations requiring winches on cable spools to be equipped with a mechanical leveling device to reduce hazards from improper spooling. Mitchell's company sells one of the few such devices on the market.Boa
