With DOSH Scrutiny, Residential Construction Is Learning It Has to Take a – Hard Look at Fall Protection

ANAHEIM -- When the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) instituted the CSHIP program in 2000, it took aim at California's residential construction industry. The goals of the program, formally known as the Construction Safety and Health Inspection Project, were to increase inspections in the industry and reduce fatalities and injuries. DOSH wanted to get industry's attention, then follow up its worksite sweeps with education to facilitate compliance.
