The Cal-OSHA Consultation Service has produced a handsome 65-page Confined Space Guide. The Education and Training Unit put the rescue requirements of General Industry 5156, 5157 and 5158 up front because nearly two-thirds of fatalities occur during rescue attempts.The other main sections of the guide are definitions and basics, confined space hazards, hazard controls, training and education and frequently asked questions.
