Employee, Independent Act Against Orders---Cranes, Operation Within Prohibited Clearance of High Voltage Lines. The appeal was granted and a citation, alleging a single nonserious violation of 8 Cal. Adm. Code 2946(b)(2), vacated along with the proposed $100 civil penalty.
Appellant was cited for a violation of Section 2946(b)(2) (minimum clearances of equipment from energized high voltage lines) when its truck mounted crane struck a 12,000 volt PG&E line. No one was injured and the only damage was sustained by the power line.
