MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT - LOCKING OR BLOCKING OUT
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, 3314(a) (2000) - Employer did not violate the requirement for locking or blocking out moveable parts of equipment capable of inadvertent movement during cleaning. The cause of the fatal accident inside a cement mixer was not determined, but the Division did not prove that employees cleaning the mixer could cause inadvertent movement of the paddle. Serious violation dismissed.
