SKYLIGHT OPENINGS - GUARDING
CAL. CODE REGS, tit. 8, § 1632(b) (2001) - An employee was killed falling through an unguarded roof skylight. The thin fiberglass covering was not a "cover," as the term is used in the safety order. The fact that a skylight was installed did not mean that a "skylight opening" ceased to exist; the safety order applied.

Summary of COSHAB-ALJ's decision dated March 16, 2001, Docket No. 00-R2D5-1012 (Fresno, CA).
