GUARDING - PRESS BRAKE POINT OF OPERATION
Cal. Code Regs, tit. 8, § 4214(a) (2004) - A mechanically powered press brake was not guarded as required and an employee's hand was crushed in the point of operation. The serious classification, accident-related characterization and $22,500 penalty were all appropriate.
