Oregon Transportation Workers Killed in Tunnel Collapse

A 49-year-old worker for the Oregon Department of Transportation was killed in January when part of a tunnel ceiling collapsed during heavy rains.The worker, Dennis Edwards, 49, was in a cherry picker helping to inspect the Sunset Tunnel, 27 miles west of Portland, when a saturated portion of the 58-year-old tunnel caved in. The collapse has shut down the tunnel, which is on state highway 26 connecting Portland with the Pacific Coast.Engineers have found water damage in the structure
