LOS ANGELES -- Affirming the importance of procedure in the variance process, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board denied a petition for rehearing Sept. 16 from an agricultural group seeking an exemption to safety standards regarding driverless tractors.Among other business, the board adopted revised standards designed to protect concrete workers and employees in compressed air environments, took public comments on two other proposals and granted two petitions.
