Appeals Board Says Employers Can Withhold Log 200 Names From Reps

LOS ANGELES -- The Cal/OSH Appeals Board, in two Decisions After Reconsideration, has ruled that employers may withhold the names of employees on their OSHA Log 200 from employee representatives.The decisions, issued Oct. 29, involved the California Medical Correctional Facility (CMF) at Vacaville and California State University-Dominguez Hills.In rendering the decisions, the board said it was balancing the requirements of Title 8 regulations with right to privacy of employees.
