Assembly Panel Rejects Self-Audit Bill; Other OSH Legislation Passes

Assembly Bill 1356, which seeks to prevent the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) from routinely obtaining companies' voluntary safety and health self-audits, was rejected by the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment April 25, 6-0.The committee did grant reconsideration of the bill, which is sponsored by the California Chamber of Commerce.
