SACRAMENTO -- The Cal/OSH Standards Board adopted two proposals related to respiratory protection fit testing at its Jan. 20 meeting in Sacramento.One of the proposals is a revision to the state standard providing a permanent exception on medical evaluations prior to fit tests. The other is a Cal/OSHA response to a federal regulatory change.Both proposals are revisions to General Industry Safety Orders 5144, which contains respiratory protection requirements for all employers.In September 2004
