SACRAMENTO - In another ADA case, the U.S. district court ruled that state workers' compensation law could not shield Alameda County from compliance with the reasonable accomodation provisions of the act. Lois M. Wood, a county employee who was injured in 1992, had been cleared to return to work by her physician but the county declined to let her assume her former job or a comparable one.
