Cal-OSHA Advisors Show High Interest – in Health Standards (Part 1)

SAN FRANCISCO - Relations with Fed-OSHA and the status of occupational health standards were the topics that dominated the July 7 meeting of Cal-OSHA advisors. Chief John Howard asked Vernita Davidson, manager of the Cal-OSHA Program Office, to report on Fed-OSHA's reinvention project and other news from OSHSPA, the Occupational Safety and Health State Plan Association, which met in June in Portland.Davidson said Joe Dear, who heads OSHA, attended the OSHSPA meeting. He has agreed that states should h
