California Congresswoman Supports Science of Ergonomics

OAKLAND -- U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) and a New York congressman rallied on the side of ergonomics June 22 just before a House committee was to vote on blocking Fed-OSHA from continuing with its ergo regulation.An aide to Rep. Pelosi said it was practically a "foreordained conclusion" that the House Education Committee would approve H.R. 987, which would halt federal rulemaking on ergonomics until the National Academy of Sciences completes a report on the subject.
