California Fares Well on Worker Fatalities – With One Big Exception

AFL-CIO's 15th annual "Death on the Job" report shows that the Golden State had the sixth-lowest fatality rate in the nation. But it also has the most fatalities to Latino workers, which comprised 40 percent of the workplace deaths in 2004.
