California Injuries, Illnesses Down Again

Although not down as sharply as between 2001 and 2002, recordable workplace injuries and illness declined again in California in 2003, according to statistics released by the state Division of Labor Statistics and Research (DLSR). There were 684,700 recordable injuries and illnesses in 2003, a drop of slightly more than 1 percent from 2002's 694,000. The incident rate was down slightly in 2003, at 5.9 per 100 full-time
