Cal/OSH Standards Board has published a 15-day notice of proposed modifications that would exempt some excavations from its proposal to protect construction workers from electrical shocks when conducting demolition and other operations.The proposal would add three new subsections to Construction Safety Orders (CSO) 1518(d) to ensure that employers locate buried, energized circuits before work such as jackhammering begins.
