Las Vegas, which is in the midst of a decade-long transformation into what amounts to a gigantic gambling theme park, is paying the price for its construction boom in worker deaths.The latest incident occurred in early April, when a construction crane carrying 25 tons of prefabricated concrete slabs bumped something on the 23rd floor of the Aladdin Hotel and Casino project.
