Fast-erecting cranes can be set up in minutes and moved around a worksite, but under a Cal/OSHA enforcement stance, they are considered mobile tower cranes, with all the permitting and certification that goes with that. A manufacturer and dealer, which insist they are just plain old mobile cranes, are fighting the Division over the designation.
