DOSH Changing Abatement Verification Regs to Match Fed-OSHA Requirements

The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) has submitted a proposed change in its Title 8 regulations that would require employers cited for serious violations to submit written verification of abatement.The change is being proposed to bring Cal/OSHA into conformance with Fed-OSHA regulations. That agency adopted specific criteria for verification of abatement of violative conditions in March 1997.A public hearing on the subject will be held at DOSH headquarters later this
